Chinese comedy 'The Last Frenzy' still tops Chinese box office
Chinese comedy "The Last Frenzy" claimed the top spot on the daily box office chart in the Chinese mainland on Sunday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
The film, exploring life's choices in the face of death, raked in 53.62 million yuan (about 7.55 million U.S. dollars) on the fifth day of its release.
Hong Kong action crime thriller "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In," ranked second, grossing 42.68 million yuan in box office revenue on Sunday.
The action thriller "Formed Police Unit," which narrates the story of the Chinese peacekeeping police, came in third with a daily box office earning of 36.26 million yuan.
The Chinese mainland's box office revenue totaled 184.07 million yuan on Sunday.
